LOG IN_LOG OUT - Competition - ORGATEC >

In 2016 BDIA tasked interior decorators and interior designers with imagining realistic workplaces in unusual forms and in unusual spaces - conceiving flexible work stations that could further blur the boundaries of work and leisure/pleasure and take advantage of the freedom that technology has allowed - to create the "office" anywhere. The realization of the winners' designs as prototypes (SophieGreen with "Log in_Log out" and Monika Lepel with "OUT WORK") were presented at the ORGATEC in 2016 in Cologne.

"Log in_Log out" by sophiegreen is a modular, extendable, geometrical structure which offers a multiplicity of variations: a folding object, a seat, a piece of furniture. A fusion of person, form, object and space. It's light, and quickly stows away again, folded up and in a pocket/bag. The structure gives the possibility of generating electricity, allows movement (re-form, fold, turn, swing), allows meeting - could cowork/connect somebody, is ergonomic and allows different positions - sit / stand / lean, adapts itself to different environments as well as the need of the user - personalizable/customizable.

To be able to work everywhere offers freedom. Indefiniteness of a space is an invitation to creativity, deriving inspiration from our surroundings.
